Desktop Surveys. Aquen provides Environmental and Ecological Desktop Surveys to address biodiversity and ecological issues within proposed areas of development. Information is sourced from records in databases and literature associated with fauna, flora and ecological communities located within the proposed development area.
Ecological Field Surveys. Aquen reports on biodiversity assets via site assessments of proposed impacted areas. Field surveys are conducted on freshwater catchments, estuaries and coastal habitats for environmental impact assessments and ecological monitoring.
Taxonomy. Aquen provides a diagnostic service in assessing marine and freshwater biota. Commonly assessed fauna and flora include macroinvertebrates, zooplankton, phytoplankton and macrophytes (seagrass and algae). Our services can provide Family or Species level identification where taxonomic keys are available.
Technical Writing. Aquen provides technical documents for environmental impact statements and assessments (EIS/EIA); procedural documentation in oil and gas industry, and reviewing and updating documents in HSE and laboratory methodology.
